Valentines Cards for The Old Sweetshop, London
After appearing in the Christmas exhibition and sale ‘For the Present’ at The Old Sweetshop in London I was asked to collaborate with the gallery on their first set of cards. They had seen a previous Valentines Card design of mine called ‘Up, Up and Away’ which was a handmade collage of ink drawings, gold thread and brushed red felt. The Old Sweetshop asked me to expand this range into a set of six cards called ‘Heart Felt’. The cards were published and sold by The Old Sweetshop and launched at the gallery in February 2008. I made a larger version of Up, Up and Away to attract people into the gallery. The design and packaging of the cards was by Joe Madeira and the copyright of all of the Illustrations belongs to me.
