Live Art for Poole Literary Festival at The Lighthouse, Dorset
The Lighthouse is the largest arts centre outside of London. I was invited there to be a featured artist and take part in The Bookshelf, which was an event for Poole Literary Festival. My part in The Bookshelf was to ‘perform’ my practice for three hours during the festival creating artwork from a pile of books I had never met before within a 1m x 1m plinth. One artist from each county in the UK was selected. At the time, I had a studio in Devon, so I proudly represented that part of the West Country. I decided to make a concertina book of an Imagined Forest that could stand during the exhibition and be viewed from all sides. This book will be published in a limited edition.
